2022...is the year to DO!

Updated: Feb 26, 2022

Happy almost New Year! Can you believe we are counting down to a new year? Are you excited? I am, but why? It is just another day that the Lord has graced us with. We should be excited about every day that the Lord gives us. Every day that we wake up, we have the opportunity to achieve our dreams and goals. We can adjust our lives anytime we want to if we trust that God is in control. We don't have to wait until January 1st, we can do it June 1st, or even August 22nd, it is up to us.

God directs our steps but we must take each step by faith. For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 Is today the day of change for you? It starts with one decision. The decision to come out of your comfort zone. If you are like me, I like my comfort zone. It feels good and it is predictable. Yet, I am not growing in my comfort zone. A comfort zone is a place that you have decided to settle and say, "This is it. This is all I need or want." What if God had decided that he was comfortable with just having angels? There would be no us. Where would we be if Jesus stayed in his comfort zone of heaven? Jesus stepped out of the comfort zone of heaven to come down and dwell among us so that we could have eternal life. We would be without hope and would be bound by the law. Thank you, Jesus, for salvation. It cost you the comfort of heaven to free us from the penalty of the law.

2022 is the year to DO what you have been dreaming about or even talking about. Why haven't you DOne it? For most of us, it is fear of the unknown that has held us back. If you no longer have peace or you feel powerless in your comfort zone, then it is time to leave the nest! When a baby Eagle stays in the nest too long, the mother Eagle starts to add rocks and stones so that the baby Eagle becomes uncomfortable. For some of us, God is putting boulders in our nest! It is time to spread our wings and fly!

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Can you imagine how Abram (Abraham) felt when God told him to leave his kindred and go to a land that he would show him? God gave him no directions, not even an address! There was no star in the sky to guide him to the land, as it was when the three wise men were led to the baby Jesus. Certainly, no map or GPS! Abram only believed and obeyed God, can you do the same?

Genesis 12:1 Then the LORD said to Abram, "Leave your country, your kindred, and your father's household, and go to the land I will show you. The LORD had said to Abram, "Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you.

I would love to hear from you as you ease out of your comfort zone and move into the growth zone. Be courageous like Joshua as he moved from the wilderness to the promise land. Some promises that God gave you won't manifest until you move forward. Wow, that word is for me! Thank you for taking the time each month to read my blog and give me feedback. I ask that God make every day your best day ever!

Until 2022,

Your favorite Ruby Girl!

Kay
